The Bridges Fashion Weekend

On Thursday night I attended the Sunderland Bridges fashion weekend show. The event started on Thursday and finishes today (24th) On each of the day fashion shows will be taking place so you can see what the shops have to offer fashion wise. This also enables you to see what's 'hot' within the fashion trends for the summer season. I had a reserved seat on the front row and I also got a goodie bag. Some of the brands that are featured: Primark, Topshop, Select, Debenhams, Van Mildert, River Island etc
The event was hosted by the lovely Kelly Scott (a heart radio presenter) The fashion show lasted for about 20 minutes. During the catwalk the models also danced which was really unexpected.  These are the pictures that I managed to get from the event. Videos I met up with the lovely Rebecca it was really nice to actually meet her. As she is one of the blogger dm girlies ( a twitter dm chat that I created a while ago so other bloggers can get to know each othe…

Base makeup: My everday 'flawless' foundation routine

When it comes to base makeup I like my skin to look flawless and matte. These are the products that I use in order to achieve the desired look. Whenever I typically go out this is my foundation routine. This look may seem a bit too much just for during the day but this is how I like my base makeup to look.  For a 'night time' look I simply highlight my face much more and apply a generous amount of foundation. Most products featured are Estee Lauder just because I am a massive Estee Lauder fan especially base makeup. In this post I will be talking about why I like the product, how I apply it aswell as pros and cons. Smashbox photo finish primer This is my favourite primer, possibly of all time? As I haven't used anything like this I apply this product using my fingers. Pros
Foundation goes on smoothly Stops shine coming through Only need to apply a small amount Foundation lasts longer Easy to travel with Cons Silicone based (some foundations don't apply nicely over silicone …

17 Questions

This is an impromptu blog post. I got this idea from my lecturer at university yesterday morning. I study English BA and I'm in my first year. Thursday's creative writing lecture was about life stories.  During that we got given 17 questions to answer and then share with the rest of our table if we wished. These are the 17 questions. 1) What's your idea of perfect happiness My idea of perfect happiness is to be rich therefore I can treat family, friends, donate to charity etc. Also for me and my loved ones to be healthy and happy. To be successful at uni and blogging. Being in a room surrounded by dogs/puppies 2) Greatest fear My greatest fear is reptiles certain ones I absolutely hate. This might (will) sound morbid but another fear is dying a painful death 3) Which historical figure do you most identify? This is such a hard question and history isn't my strongest subject at all. But I would have to say Florence Nightingale? Purely for the fact she helped others and I lik…

Battle of the concealers: High end vs high street

This is one of my most requested blog posts about the concealers I have tried. In this blog post I will be talking about my favourite concealers that I have used (and loved) in the past and the concealers I am currently using. The pro's and con's of each. The main thing that I want my concealers to do is to hide blemishes and to highlight under my eyes. Concealer shopping is one of the hardest things to do as there are so many on the market. I have done swatches of the concealers to show what the consistency of what the product is like. With most of these products the pros will out weigh the cons. As these are my favourite concealers that I've tried. All of these at some point have been in my makeup bag/products I've used everyday. About my skin I thought I would briefly mention this as what might work for me, may not work for others. I have combination skin. My T zone tends to get oily but I also have dry patches. My cheeks are also quite red and I rarely suffer from brea…

Urban Tan: Glamour Grit Scrub review

When I received this Glamour Grit Scrub* by Urban Tan to use I was really pleased. As I suffer with dry sensitive skin. Since getting this product I have been testing it out frequently. Glamour Grit is an oil free scrub. The brand is 100% Vegan and Cruelty free. Which is always a bonus when using a product.
Contains: Green Tea Extract Sea Kelp and Algae Vitamin E Benefits Exfoliates and conditions skin Anti Oxidants fight free radical damage Revitalising scent Barbados Grapefruit Suitable for all skin types Environmental Paraben Free Gluten Free 100% Vegan Cruelty Free How to use the product Apply on dry or damp skin for the best results. Then wash off. My overall opinion I really like the fact that the Scrub comes with a mini spoon as this stops the product from getting everywhere. The smell of this product is amazing! This is one of the main reasons why I love using this product. It smells exactly like Grapefruit. The product itself exfoliates my skin well and leaves my skin feeling really soft. …
